“The definition of innovation truly characterized our company’s brand when we founded Intecro. What makes Intecro, Intecro is fundamentally believing in the power of transformation and change.”
The Turkish meaning is “Innovative Industrial Technologies and Robotics,” abbreviated from the original phrase “Innovative Industrial Technologies and Robotics.”
Innovation, which includes fundamental innovation concepts such as innovation activities and innovative companies, is systematically defined in the Oslo Manual. The purpose of this guide is to create a common language and conceptual unity on these topics, enabling a holistic science and technology policy and allowing international comparisons.
According to this definition, innovation is:
“The implementation of a new or significantly improved product (good or service), process, new marketing method, or new organizational method in business practices, workplace organization, or external relations.”
In a country, innovation refers to sustainable growth, as well as the increase in the well-being and job opportunities of society. One of the priorities for governments is to create the conditions necessary for innovation. To achieve this, a successful system must be established, and effective policies must be implemented. A systems approach, which focuses on inter-institutional interactions, is crucial for innovation. The national innovation system sets up a system that regulates the flow of information, regulation, and financing between all these institutions.
Innovation is divided into four different types: product, service, marketing, and organizational.
Product innovation refers to the process of developing and launching a new and different product into the market. This process does not necessarily require the creation of a completely new product. It can also involve improving or differentiating the features of an existing product in a better direction.
Marketing innovation refers to the process of packaging a product or service with different and new designs or developing and offering new marketing strategies.
Innovation is not only applied to product and service development. In addition to these, to keep up with competition or maintain the current market position, innovation must also be applied in work and business organization. The development of different, applicable, and innovative work systems is referred to as organizational innovation.
